Eligibility For Admissions into B.Tech. Programmes
A pass in 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with the marks as follows:
- Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, National Institute of Open Schooling, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Telangana Boards: Physics, Chemistry, Maths ≥ 75% marks in 12th Board Exam with minimum 50 % in every subject
- CBSE, ISC Boards: Physics, Chemistry, Maths ≥ 70% marks in 12th Board Exam with minimum 50 % in every subject
- Assam, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Punjab Boards: Physics, Chemistry, Maths ≥ 65% marks in 12th Board Exam with minimum 50 % in every subject
- Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Rajasthan, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal: Physics, Chemistry, Maths ≥ 60% marks in 12th Board Exam with minimum 50 % in every subject
- IB curriculum: Aggregate score of 28 with a minimum of 4 in every course.
- Cambridge International Examinations (CIE): Percentage Uniform Marks same as CBSE
Admission Tests
- SNU Scholastic Aptitude Test (SNUSAT) – 2 hours
- Verbal Reasoning – 30 minutes
- Quantitative Ability/ Numerical Skills – 36 minutes
- Abstract Reasoning/ Thinking – 40 minutes
- Essay – 15 minutes (SNUSAT Essay will have to be typed on the computer, within the stipulated time.)
- Academic Proficiency Test (APT): If you’re applying to any programme in the School of Engineering, you must pass two 45-minute topic exams in math and physics.
Note:
- All questions except the SNUSAT essay will be multiple choice.
- There is no negative marking.
- Within the allotted time, the SNUSAT essay must be typed on a computer.
Admission process
Route 1: Direct admission based on JEE Mains 2023 or 2022 score for high-performing candidates. Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for an interview.
Route 2: SNUSAT + APT
Route 3: Application with College Board SAT score followed by an interview.
Route 4: Application with ACT score followed by an interview.
FEE
- Admission Fee: INR 25,000 (For all programs, payable one time, non-refundable)
- Refundable Security Deposit: INR 25,000 (payable one time and refundable at the time of leaving the university)
- Tuition, Hostel, Mess and Laundry Fees for First Year batch of 2023
