VITEEE 2023
Eligibility:
Nationality: Resident / Non-Resident Indian National / PIO / OCI.
Age Limit: Applicants born on or after 1st July 2001 are eligible.
Qualifying Examination: Completed or appearing in 2023, in any of the following:
- Final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board, CBSE, ISCE, or equivalent.
- Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
- High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
- General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
Appearance in VITEEE 2023 is mandatory for Indian nationals to be eligible for B.Tech admission.
Qualifying Examination Performance:
- Minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate) for all applicants
- Minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate) for applicants belonging to SC/ST category, Applicants from Jammu and Kashmir/Ladakh and the Northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
Substitution of qualifying criteria: In case VITEEE 2023 gets cancelled due to natural calamities, the qualifying criteria may be substituted with higher secondary marks or JEE-23 or a valid SAT. Applicants will be informed of specifics in such a case.
Foreign applicants:
- NRI applicants can directly apply under the ‘NRI Category’ through the NRI application form.
- Foreign applicants who studied/ studying abroad can apply directly through the International application form.
- Required documents:
- High School / SSC / X Certificate for proof of age.
- Migration Cum Transfer Certificate for Regular ‘NIOS’ board candidates.
- Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) for Indian nationals who completed Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above.
- Community / Nativity certificate for applicants from Jammu and Kashmir/Ladakh and the Northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
Selection Criteria
- Selection for VITEEE 2023 is based on the rank obtained through the Computer Based Test (CBT).
- Candidates who are selected can participate in online counselling and provide options for specific campus, program, and fee category.
- The allotment of seats will be based on the rank obtained and the availability of options.
- Candidates with a rank up to 1 Lakh are eligible for counseling to Vellore and Chennai campus.
- After completing the tuition fee payment on or before the stipulated date, VIT will verify the eligibility of candidates.
- Candidates must produce the required documents on the day of coming to the campus or when asked for by the Office of Admissions.
- Provisional admission offered during counseling will be valid only if the eligibility criteria are met.
- If the eligibility criteria are not met, the decision of VIT will be final.
